The construction of the new Bank of Tampa Operations Center, known as the Blanchard Banking Center, was designed to house the core of the bank’s team and foster intraoffice collaboration. Spanning the 2nd and 3rd floors, totaling approximately 38,000 square feet, the space features a glass-fronted central core of shared workspaces and private offices, allowing natural light to flow throughout the building.
Bank of Tampa sought to modernize their aesthetic while maintaining their traditional values and branding colors. We achieved this balance by incorporating subtle golden tones alongside a neutral grey color scheme. Special attention was given to the design of welcoming and sophisticated collaboration areas that align with the bank’s vision of teamwork and professionalism.
With the space comprising various operational departments with different work styles, we created a standard workstation size with an interchangeable central module that can be adjusted based on the specific needs of each user. By establishing a standardized workstation layout, we were able to create a functional floor plan that supports the bank’s current operations while allowing for future growth. The central modules can be reconfigured easily, without moving panels, enabling departments to expand or downsize with minimal disruption to neighboring workstations.
